Recently there was an article in the World News where Egyptian Authorities rounded up 24 so-called International Terrorists who were plotting to kidnap an American and executed them. Well I am always one to question the news of course and since they are dead how do we know they were plotting to kidnap and possibly behead Americans traveling? When debating this in an online forum some one made an snide comment and said; "Oh but Egyptians never lie?" Another commenter said; "Not often, but I know their ancestors got lots of free treasures from those Pyramid Tombs." How can anyone be sure that any of the World News is legitimate? Another story came in yesterday that said two school teachers in Iraq were beheaded in front of all their students. But when the United States Marine Soldiers went to check it out, there were no dead school teachers and the whole story was a complete fabrication. Why do I mention this? Well, perhaps we ought to trust our own team before that of Al Jazeera or foreign media, which is using the media as part of their psyche war against the US to get our population base to decry the War in Iraq and call for immediate withdrawal of our troops. Obviously some one on the other side knows they are losing and is therefore using any possible way to get us out of there. In the case of Egypt, are we so sure they are merely trying to shift focus and show a semi-ally of the United States in order to not become one of its targets, as we all know that war is near with Iran and potentially Syria too. Thus Egypt is saying; "Wait a Minute, we are not against the US!" Consider all this in 2006. |
