After data is transferred to a CD, it needs to be stored in a safe place away from heat, excess moisture, magnetic fields and dust particles. These conditions can easily destroy or corrupt the data stored in the CD. Usage instructions given by the seller should be followed properly. One negative aspect is that these CDs are increasingly being used for selling copyrighted material. This results in piracy and can result in huge losses to companies.
